Today I ran into and issue with the new Equallogic VSM 4.0.1 plugin for vSphere. Once installed I configured the accounts and permissions properly. Added the Group in using the vSphere Web Client VSM plugin. Everything added fine but I couldn’t get any statistics or information on the SAN. After a call with Equallogic support the issue was resolved by doing the following

Telnet into each of the SAN Members and run the following

– su exec sh

         – This will get you in Tech Support mode on the Equallogic Array

– eqlinit restart MgmtExec

– Logout of everything then back in
